Cheryl Plewis
The gift of yoga came to me through a dear friend and teacher, Dariel Vogel. It was she and Marion (Mugs) McConnell of the South Okanagan Yoga Assoc. who guided and taught me so many of the wonders of the path of Yoga. I began my personal practice in 1994 and began teaching in 1998. In 1999 I graduated the SOYA two year teacher training program and went on to graduate from the International Yoga Teachers Assoc. in 2001 and now also hold certification with Yoga Alliance of North America at the E-RYT500 level and am trained to teach teachers. Since 1994 I have taken more than 1200 hours of Professional Development in Yoga and related practices of anatomy, physiology, and philosophy. As of 2011, having taught over 5000 hours, I forsee no reason to ever stop learning or sharing the inspiring practices. Namaste
Interests
- The 8 Limbs of Yoga from the ancient traditional teachings has provided a beloved study for my life. I love to experience various teachings and to share my understanding and various interpretations of the practices which lead to
- wellness
- peace
- joy
- bliss
- and the realization of the shared universal energy that unites all. In the reflection of those who travel the path of my teaching comes the most humbling sense of personal and shared enrichment that I could have hoped for in this lifetime. Yoga is truly a gift
- to connect
- to learn from
- and to enrich us all. My gratitude is eternal.
